Washington Monument Across the Potomac

Washington Monument Across the Potomac

approx 5” x 9” (12.7 x 22.9 cm)– oil on gessoed paper }
Available for purchase via Online Auction
Matted painting: $175.00 starting bid + S&H

This panting of the Washington Monument seen from the Virginian side of the Potomac River at dawn is one of my favorite views. When DC is tranquil, clean, and fresh.

{How the painting looks matted, ready to pop into an 11” x 14” frame}

Hi, Elizabeth -
Happy New Year! I love your latest painting. I need to visit our monuments and sights more. Hope you are doing well. Let's get together for tea / coffee at my house soon.
Take care,
Loi

This is lovely! Have you tried the new Canson Arches oil paper yet? You don't need to gesso it. It's pretty nice, but I hear it can be hard to find.

Hi Sarah, No I have not tried the Canson Arches oil paper... I must say the reason I have been working on gessoed paper is because I have TONS of watercolor paper and it has not been getting used, so I thought gessoing it would be a good way to use it.
