Frieze Painting V - Fresh Peaches – 7-1/4” x 20” Oil on Linen Panel
This weekend I only worked on this painting. As I prefer to paint from life, I was racing against the shelf life of these peaches… I am feeling really tired right now, so I cannot articulate what it is I like about this painting or what motivated me to paint it. Proof that this weekend was a fun and intense painting experience…
I will elaborate more later… Have a great evening! Liz
Below are two detail shots of the painting:

Liz, This is stunning! I have been watching your blog for most of a year and I cannot believe the changes in your painting in that time. I applaud you. You motivate me to work harder at improving my work. Bravo! Carol
Thanks Carol! This adventure in painting has been very rewarding and I am happy to hear that improvement in skills are being seen :)
Stunning work!!! Truly a joy to look at!!
Thanks Theresa!
Wow Liz, you really captured the the two different textures here beautifully. Great job!
Jeffrey
Thanks Jeffery,
I did not think about the different textures of the painting while I was working on it, but now that I step back there are different textures between the the fuzz of the peach and the smoothness of the blue cloth. Thanks for helping me observe that distinction on a conscious level versus just responding to what I saw on a gut level :)
As beautiful as your peaches are... and they ARE... your drapery has me in awe.
Thanks Susan! Last year in the fall I spent a lot of practice time drawing and painting drapery.
I hate to just repeat what has been said before me but when I first looked at this painting I too thought that it was 'absolutely stunning!' Great composition, great colors, great everything!!
Thanks so much! It is great getting the positive comments and each one is special to me. Liz
